The mission of the San Marcos Art League is to encourage its members as well as the public to support and to nurture the arts in the community. The San Marcos Art League is a non-profit organization, the goal of which is to promote arts in the community. We meet regularly at various places in San Marcos, schedule demonstrations and lectures, workshops, presentations by gallerists and representatives of other non-profit organizations, with the goal to make knowledge of the arts open to the public, free of charge.

The League has quite a few perks to offer its members:

• Participation in Group Shows such as the ABIA East Side Gallery exhibit currently on display now in Austin
• Monthly Meeting Activities - Demonstrations, Figure Drawing, Show & Tell, Networking, Guest Speakers, etc
• Monthly Solo and Group shows at the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce
• Advance notice of participation in area events with sales opportunities
• Mini-Seminars on topics of concern to artists such as creating sales opportunities, website design, etc
