Although my education and career were in physics, I have
been interested in photography all of my adult life. Until I retired, I focused
on travel and documentary-style photography. Recently, I've taken my
photography in a new direction. I am now less interested in accurately
representing reality, in documenting a scene or an object, as showing my
personal view of it. My goals in the subjects captured, and in the processing
on the computer, is to make my photograph better reveal what I see in my mind's
eye. For me photography is a means of self expression, but I enjoy sharing with
others what I have taken joy in creating.
I am a member of the
Wimberley Valley Art
League, the New Braunfels
Art League where I am a displaying member, and the
San Marcos Art League. I am also a
member of a recently formed artist co-op in Wimberley - the
Bent Tree Gallery of Wimberley.
